Yougie Iron Works has been fabricating and erecting structural and ornamental steel across New York City since 1990. What started as a Bronx ironworks shop has grown into a full-service operation. In 2008, we became "Licensed General Contractors", in NYC and have had the pleasure to oversee and project manage hundreds of projects all over NYC and again in 2018, we formed our sister company, Yougie Construction LLC, which expanded into a full interior and exterior construction, giving clients one company that can carry a project from design through permitting/planning through final installation/signoff.

That matters more than it might sound. Most jobs that involve steel touch a half a dozen of trades and just as many licenses — welding, rigging, general contracting, home improvement contracting, NYC DOT or NYC DEP or NYC Parks approval depending on where the work sits. We hold all of it in-house. Both NYC DOB & State Licensed Registered Architects and Professional Engineers are on staff, meaning the same team that can design your project, can stamp your drawings to get it approved, and can fabricate your steel. Fewer subcontractors, fewer handoffs, fewer things that can go wrong between "designed" and "built."

We fabricate and weld everything ourselves, in our own Bronx owned shop, before it ever reaches a jobsite — which is also why we're able to sell ALL the raw material itself. Structural steel, wide flange/I-Beams, stock tubing material, ornamental stock, hardware and "YOUGIE" branded hardware that exceeds build quality and can compete with cost of rival competitors. All of our own that we'd use on our own jobs are available to order directly, whether you're a contractor sourcing material or a fellow fabricator who just needs a straight answer on price and lead time. We can do it all for you.
